Accessory Recommendations
We are often asked about suggestions for different peripheral devices. Below you will find examples of devices we have worked with and have found them to be good examples of their respective applications. These examples are not intended to be a definitive list, as there are a variety of devices that may work just as well. As we test different solutions, and deem them suitable, we will add them to this page.
Wireless Presenters

Wireless presenters are primarily used to advance Powerpoint slides without being stuck at the computer's keyboard or mouse. As you evaluate which presenter is right for you, here are a few suggestions. With a little online research, a quality wireless presenter should be available for $50 or less. You can reach the manufacturer's website for each model listed below by clicking on the picture.
- Consider an RF model over Bluetooth for wireless transmission. Bluetooth is great for short-range connections (around 30 feet) where RF presenters will reach up to 100 feet. If you teach in any of our lecture halls, you can easily wander beyond the 30-foot limit whenever you venture out beyond the front of the room.
- If you plan to use the laser pointer to highlight information on the projection screen, you'll find that a green laser is more visible than a red one. PLEASE NOTE: Laser pointers are not visible at all on video walls.
- Since most instructors are using one of these presenters with the in-room computer, you might consider purchasing a presenter that has a USB receiver that's a little bigger. The reason for this suggestion is that if the receiver is larger, you'll be less likely to forget to take it with you as you're cleaning up your presentation materials at the end of class.
